Documents Required for Copyright Registration in India

1. Applicant’s Details

For Individuals – Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and Address Proof.
For Companies / Firms – Incorporation Certificate, PAN of the Company, and Address Proof.

2. Work to be Copyrighted

A Soft Copy & Hard Copy of the Work (e.g., book, song, software, artwork, etc.).
For Literary Work (Book, Article, etc.) – Manuscript or published book.
For Music & Sound Recordings – Audio file or notations.
For Films & Videos – Script and video file.
For Software – Source code and executable file.

3. Declaration Form

 A signed statement by the author or creator stating originality and ownership of the work.

4. Power of Attorney (If Filed by an Agent)

 Authorizing a representative or lawyer to file the copyright application on behalf of the owner.

5. NOC (No Objection Certificate) (If Applicable)

 If the work has multiple creators, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from co-authors or producers.

After submitting these documents, the copyright office reviews the application, and upon approval, the Copyright Certificate is issued.
